How long does each day course last?
Each day runs from 10am-6pm unless otherwise stated.

How can I pay if I do not want to use the secure server?
You can send a cheque, made payable to 'Documentary Filmmakers Group', accompanied by your choice of courses to: DFG Training, Documentary Filmmakers Group,  Fourth Floor, Shacklewell Studios, 28 Shacklewell Lane, London E8 2EZ.

Is there an enrolment deadline?
It is best to book early to avoid disappointment as there are a limited number of places on each course. Enrolment is currently ongoing. Any further questions, contact us on: 020 7249 6600 or at training@dfgdocs.com

Are there any prerequisites to attend a DFG course?
This depends on the course. For all Short Courses there is no previous experience required. However, a basic understanding of the process behind the making of a documentary film is advised in order to make the most of the sessions. Also, please go to our Terms and Conditions page and look under Academic Prerequisites and Visa pre-requisites.

Do I need to bring my own equipment for the training?
No, unless otherwise stated, we will provide you with both tuition and all the equipment necessary for the course.

Are there any bursaries that I can apply for to fund my training course?
Yes, there are various funding options to help fund industry training.

SkillSet have a fund for freelancers for more information see their website www.skillset.org They also provide a comprehensive overview of funding options with plenty of information about other sources of funding that are available.

Screen Bursaries are money grants for you to spend on training. The amount you can get can vary, depending on whether you're employed or work freelance. Please refer to the Screen Bursaries Guidelines for full details. Remember that for your application to be successful, you'll have to have submitted the application form at least 5 working days before the course is due to start.

The various UK Regional Screen Agencies also offer a variety of funding schemes. Contact your local RSA for specific information.

What currencies are accepted for payment?
Apart from Pound Sterling in all transactions, we are able to accept Euros and US Dollars when paying by Credit Card.
