Win a 9 month Placement at Shed Media with Doc/Fest

Fancy the chance to win a 9 month paid internship at Shed Media, home of Supernanny, Who do You Think You Are, and Blood Sweat and Luxuries?

We've teamed up with Watershed TV, the factual entertainment division of Shed Media, to offer one individual a paid placement that will allow them to work across a range of activities in a major producer of international factual entertainment formats.

The Shed Internship is looking for someone with the passion, drive and creative vision to join the Factual production teams across the group. You have probably had some experience at AP level, but we're more interested in someone with great ideas, an understanding of what is great TV, and you should be  brimming with original ideas, excited about creating factual programming.

You will be given the rare opportunity to work within all functions so that you can develop a thorough understanding of how television production works from the ground up.

During the placement, you will be mentored by Mark Rubens, MD of Watershed Television, and previously Creative Director at Ricochet. Mark’s recent Executive producer credits include the Blood  Sweat and Stacey Dooley series for BBC3.

The internship commences January 2011 for a period of 9 months to September 2011 and you'll play a role in developing the next set of international hit factual formats and brands, especially those spotlighting social and current affairs issues.

How do I enter?
Please download the entry form from http://sheffdocfest.com/view/shedinternship, fill it in carefully, and return it by email to shed@sidf.co.uk. The deadline for entering is Friday 15th October.

If shortlisted, we'll then need you to be available for 2 interviews on Tuesday 26th October and Friday 29th October in London, and if selected, we'll then ask you attend Sheffield Doc/Fest from the 3rd-7th November, which includes the Shed New Talent event on November 4th.
