What is Roullete?

Roullete is an exciting casino game in which players place chips on the betting table. There are several different types of bets that you can make, including single numbers, groups of numbers, and colors. The dealer will give you time to place your bets before the wheel is spun and the ball dropped.

The roulette wheel consists of a solid wooden disk slightly convex in shape with thirty-six compartments painted alternately red and black, plus two green ones that carry the signs 0 and 00 on American wheels. The croupiers, or dealers, use a small cylinder to push the balls into their respective compartments.

Inside Bets — bets placed on specific numbers or small number combinations within the main grid of numbers (1-36). These bets offer higher payouts but lower odds of winning. Outside Bets — bets on larger groupings of numbers, such as columns (1-4), dozens (1-12, Premiere douzaine or P12), or groups of 12 numbers in two horizontal rows (13-24, Moyenne douzaine or M12), and are generally considered to have better odds at winning.

There are a number of theories as to the origin of roulette, but it is certain that it was derived in France from older games like hoca and portique. The game reached its present wheel and layout around 1790, when it became a popular attraction in the casinos and gambling dens of Europe.
